In this exhibition, unfolding becomes a curatorial framework through which two distinct visual languages intersect: Cohen’s dynamic, colour-driven abstraction, and Bookatz’s intimate portraiture. 

Wendy Cohen is a graduate of The National Art School, holding BFA and MFA degrees.  Her abstract practice engages unfolding through layered paint, collage, texture, and chromatic interplay that evokes curiosity and wonderment.

I am an award-winning artist, having received recognition in the Local, Acrylic, and Pastel sections of the Waverley Art Prize. I hold a BMedia from Southern Cross University and studied fine art at the Johannesburg School of Art. My portraits are evolving presences; my figure paintings unfold and emerge. Some of my works tell stories.
All become an offering.
