Wendy Bookatz, also known as Wendy Lessick, was born in South Africa. She is an award winning Australian Artist who studied Fine Arts at the Witwatersrand University and the Johannesburg School of Art, and Commercial Art at Cape Town Technical  College. Wendy has exhibited in many solo & group exhibitions including the Mosman Art Prize, The Willoughby Art Prize, The Royal Easter Show & The Waverley Art Prize. She has also exhibited in the Fringe Festival and in an auction/exhibition at The Art Gallery of New South Wales where both works were sold. Wendy has won the Pastel Award twice, the Local Prize and the Acrylic Prze in the Waverly Art Prize Competition and an award in the Modern Section in the Royal Easter Show.
